Lavender Honey Syrup

8:00 AM

BEST. COFFEE. EVER.

All the ingredients (plus water) that you will need to up your coffee game major!

Honestly, lavender buds are not something that I would expect to see in a caffeinated morning beverage per say, but let's all be serious for a minute... It is magical.

And THIS is where the magic starts! Not all honeys are created equal. Make sure you grab a container that says "raw' or "allergy" on the label.

When the syrup was finished, I poured it back into a honey jar for ease of use in the mornings and tied it up in a bow!

All bias aside, coffee is totally better out of ABD mugs.
Just sayin'.

Lavender Honey Latte Syrup:

Ingredients-
  • 1 heaping teaspoon dried lavender flowers
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup honey - we like to use allergy honey or plain raw from our local farmer's market
Instructions-
  • Place all ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat and stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Simmer an additional 8-10 minutes -stirring intermittently as to not let it burn- or until syrup thickens and can coat the back of your wooden spoon.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Strain lavender bits out with a fine sieve colander.
  • Cool in refrigerator. It will thicken a bit more once it cools.
